A prominent doctor is found brutally murdered inside his home. Jill Francone, a realtor's assistant, substitute teacher, mother, and wife of an up  and coming investment banker is on the scene soon after the housekeeper finds the doctor. On the lawn as she approaches the house she picks up news photo with a cryptic note written in the margins. She is instantly thrown into the middle of a mystery that could destroy her marriage, endanger her daughter as well as herself, and expose a diabolical plan.
